First open GreenDay 2015 was a great success

Our first open GreenDay provided a networking and information opportunity for Melbourne-based small to medium enterprises, with room to exchange ideas that help grow business and protect the environment.

As part of their annual GreenDay on 5 June, ebm-papst A&NZ invited businesses located in the Western suburbs of Melbourne (ebm-papst A&NZ is located in Laverton North) to join them to learn more about combining high-tech engineering with practices of sustainable production and business.

The event was intended as a networking and information opportunity for Melbourne-based small to medium enterprises, with room to exchange ideas that help grow business and protect the environment.

Presentations were held by members of Sustainability Victoria on their materials efficiency program, Western Alliance for Greenhouse Action and the Low Carbon West initiative, Will Richardson (Impact Investment Group) and Alicia Darvall (BCorp) on ‘Doing Business for Profit and for Good’, and others.

The GreenDay is an international campaign of all global ebm-papst subsidiaries. Around 11,000 employees do their part for a greener future and demonstrate their everyday contributions to the environment. It was started in 2012 because environmental awareness in everyday life is just as important to ebm-papst as the energy efficiency of their products, processes and production.
